Is a Rottweiler the right breed for you?
Rottweilers love their people and may behave in a clownish manner toward family and friends, but they are also very protective of their territory and do not welcome strangers until properly introduced. Obedience training and socialization are MUSTS. Rottweilers must be socialized from puppyhood once they are completely vaccinated all the way through life. Daily training on manners, leash walks, and commands is a great way to keep your rottie engaged. Rottweilers require daily exercise, but minimal grooming maintenance. Questions about the breed?
